Terms

Terms of service.

Plain-English terms for Dark Code website subscriptions and related services.

These terms apply to all website subscriptions and related services provided by Dark Code. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain English.

1. Contract term and cancellation

All subscriptions have a 12-month minimum term.

After the initial term, the service rolls monthly and either side can cancel with 30 days' notice.

2. Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP.

A one-off £99 activation fee applies on sign-up.

The activation fee is non-refundable once build work has started.

3. Non-payment policy

If payment fails, we will contact you and give a 14-day grace period to resolve it.

If still unpaid after 14 days, we may temporarily replace your site with a holding page until payment is made.

We retain your site data for 90 days.

4. Ownership and rights

You own your domain and your content.

Unless agreed otherwise, we retain rights to our underlying build process and systems.

We may show finished sites in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

5. What is included and what is not

A small content change means an edit that typically takes under 30 minutes, for example changing opening hours, swapping a photo, or updating small text.

Included change allowances are set by your plan. Presence includes one per quarter. Visibility includes one per month. Extra small changes are charged separately.

Not included: ongoing SEO campaigns, content writing campaigns, ecommerce shops, and advanced custom integrations unless separately quoted.

6. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to UK jurisdiction.
